I learnt tonight that if you just ink line over really good penciling, there is no guarantee of quality...... fuck a fucker , but i did have a talk with a potential critique.*
what I suggest is to keep your original pencil drawings. Just make a photocopy (adjust luminosity & contrast options to get clear lines) and then use the photocopy on a lightbox to trace your ink drawing on a blank paper. You don't need to buy a lightbox, just put an light source under a transparent surface. So if you screw up you can try again.
Also I really need a decent inking set as I'm tending to tear up the paper and have incomplete black areas :[
