Seriously

IVE BEEN DRAWING LIKE A MANIAC, woop's caps. No really, Ive been doing allot. In fact I'm taking a break from one of my 1st inking attempts right now. Ive just been too unorganized to arrange a scanner or something to get everything in.

Not sure if I mentioned this earlier anywhere but I'm specifically keeping away from any form of digital illustration because I really just want to master traditional illustration skills. Its a valuable skill and training technique Ive neglected my whole life.  I guess I'm doing it now as appose to waiting another 26 years :p

And a note to my future self..... If you achieved your background goal ( you know what it is) good shit!! If you didn't, just keep going hard core and living life to the extreme, you've got things pretty nailed.

Update

So Ive finally drawn out 3 of the main characters. One them is almost how I imagined, but another is bang on, I was really happy with it. I still need to sort out some hardware to get them online, but for now their residing on my wall next to my desk to keep me motivated. I want to write up some character profiles to flesh the characters out even more, but I think ill wait till I can upload them 1st.

As for what I'm doing next, I think I need to do some more characters from different levels of the society. And perhaps a better illustration of the building they live in. I have several already which I like. But their only scribbles at best, and I also haven't really explored the potential design as much as I should (it being a major part of the story).

Things are going good, accept for some of he worlds current problems.

Katsuhiro Otomo

This is the style I'm currently leaning towards in my minds eye. This 1st one wasn't done by Otomo.

The above and bellow were done by a guy as a drawing exercise, I read his notes and it sounded like he learnt a lot, So I might do something similar.

Akira Toriyama

Heres some work from Akira Toriyama, no introduction required. I realize that every teenager with an imposable thumb would try to mimic these drawings, however I think theres another side to his art which has gone mostly unappreciated by a lot of the western world. Unfortunately there was a very specific type of his work I wanted to post but haven't had much luck in finding it, might update this post later.

Again this one isn't by him but I picked it up during my search and it made me think something akin to this layout could help me visually pitch  my story idea.

Things are going great in general, Korea rules. I'm getting a decent permaculture system set up in my apartment, I just need to  set up a decent UV light rig for my plants and get some worms for my compost Ive set up. Went on an amazing hike up  to an old fortress yesterday, got some good photos so I will post them soon. Mua Thai is going really well so far also. But even better I actually got of (or onto) my ass and started doing some character drawings for this project, Ill credit these good turn of events to my general absence from the drinking society here in Jang nyu. So I need to sort out a way to scan my drawings, but  for now I'm gonna upload some more visual research, specifically for my illustration style. First up  here is some of Mike Mignola's work.
