Forgot the art nouveau spam....

And a few other odd things I found, I intend to find some post some images with interesting shapes from nature soon also. And some art nouveau architecture.

These two images above and below are damn cool, mental note for style inspiration.

A spam of ideas, I'm pushing for some decent concepts of the building I want to design. Heres a brief detailing of how it exists in my mind.

Its supposed to be an inertly sustainable housing and farming building, its people live entirely within this building. If they ever want to leave they cant take any possessions with them, and there is strict regulations to keep the weight peoples bodies the same when they leave and return.

The operational concept in my mind was basically a small pyramid with a reversed and much larger pyramid on top of it. Then I realized it was very similar to the spiral kingdom in gurren-lagann.... Well see what happens with that I guess.

Heavy inspiration was to be taken from designs and concepts of vertical farming.

The shape of the building is to mirror an motif of the peoples culture. I wanted to produce an orthographic diagram of the building. which can be overlayed with the motif. Both of these I was thinking would be fitting to do in the style of art nouveau.

At the bottom of the structure are large overgrown statues which are posed in a way in which it seems they are supporting the structure.

I also think it would be wise to take inspiration from the shapes in nature as much as I can.

Now heres the spam of research images Ive collected.

A New Zealand style tree would probably be more appropriate than this, Ill work on that.

Detest the situation

When you realize a great idea you had was not original at all. What do ya do next?

Yes yes you can change it a little bit,

Also on this note, inspiration from nature I think can help me a little bit. This TED does a pretty good job of wording it.

Sprung

So I was sprung with a surprise class and had no material to teach today. I frantically went online for ideas and came across "Jabberwocky". So Id read about this before and decided it would be an interesting exercise for the students (late high school) to swap out all the nonsense words for proper nouns, verbs and adjectives.

The best student turned it into a poem about starcraft.
